Product details Format: Kindle Edition File Size: Pocket Books 28 June Sold by: English ASIN: Elinor doesn't count on the mad attraction the Baron has to her - not for her wealth, but for Elinor. He loves the way she looks, considers her "plumpness" to be very sexual and he's starved for love and affection.

So, the questions are: Is Thorncliff just starved for any woman? Is he only interested in Elinor because he's been without society and women in general? It doesn't appear to be her money. Further, why does he have a barn that insists his guests stay away from?

Eventually we learn he has secrets which must be revealed in order for his soul to be healed.

Elinor is exactly what he needs and it is Christmas - a great time for healing and miracles! Lovely story with passion aplenty and a very sexy Black Baron. One person found this helpful. Icy roads and a carriage accident forced Ellie, her three young cousins, and her injured aunt to accept the reluctant hospitality of the Black Barron.

His brother had been killed on Christmas three years before and he held himself responsible Society passed around gossip that he had killed his brother to gain the estate, a coal mine and the title. Of course it wasn't true as an inquest had prove.

Ellie convinced him that he was not responsible for this brother's reckless behavior and that he needed to live his life to the fullest. This is my first Christmas book this season and it was wonderful. An added bonus. This was a short story included in a holiday book several years ago during the time Sabrina was writing the School for Heiresses series and we have a few of Cousin Michael and Charolette's exchanges.

This Novella is such a cute story of love overcoming deep grief and guilt. The two main characters are typical as far as she's the young bright spirited woman; and he has gone through tragedy that has turned his guilt and grief into a living penance.

Ellie is undaunted by Martin's surly countenance and when she discovers why, sets out to make him see the error of his ways. She also has a partner in crime, Mr.

Huggart, I totally fell in love with his character. Huggart is Martin's butler and helps both Ellie and Martin fall in love with each other in a very mischievous manner. Thank goodness for Mr.

A truly enjoyable story with endearing characters. Hope you choose to read this book I like Ellie, defying the convention, rather, Martin's generalisation of the "spoilt, rich heiresses". To those who stated it is dull, and predictable - hey, it is for the season: And how can one not continue to anticipate the meeting of Cousin Michael and Charlotte - please get the story out soon, Ms Jeffries!!

Both Ellie and Martin make assumptions about each other when they meet along an icy road days before Christmas. Ellie thinks he's called the Black Lord because his clothes are covered with black soot and he thinks she is a spoiled society heiress and as the story progresses, both completely change their minds. This was an enjoyable and feel good story for the season.

This is a short story. The heroine is a somewhat plump heiress who has tired of rejection of the elegant fortunehunters of the ton. When the carriage of her aunt is wrecked on an icy road, the heiress and her traveling companions are rescued by a grumpy, coalcoated man, who turns out to be called the Black Lord. He is takes them to his home, where he proves to be more amiable.

It is a pleasant romance. See all 55 reviews. Amazon Giveaway allows you to run promotional giveaways in order to create buzz, reward your audience, and attract new followers and customers.
